save what you like
A place to keep the links you liked. How to use it is written up in the guide.
Where are my saved links kept? On your device. arka has no server, and nothing you save leaves the device. To move to another device, export a backup from Settings and take that file with you — the same file works between iPhone and Android.
arka isn’t in my share sheet.
Tap ··· (More) at the bottom of the share sheet and turn arka on in the list.
Thumbnails for Instagram or Threads links don’t show up.
Those pages need a login, so a preview can’t be fetched. Long-press the card and use
Choose a cover photo to put in a photo yourself.
A thumbnail that used to show is gone.
Some sites put an expiry time in the image address. Settings → Fetch thumbnails again brings them back,
and once fetched the image is stored on your device.
I want to send a collection to someone.
In the collections view, long-press a folder and choose Share. The links become plain text.
The person receiving it can load it with Import from notes (Import from text on iPhone).
I want to back up what I saved.
Settings → Export backup. One file holds your links, notes, collections, and cover photos.
