A place to keep the links you liked. Works the same on iPhone and Android.
In Safari, YouTube, Instagram — anywhere — tap the share button and choose the arka icon. When the save screen appears you can write a note or pick a collection to keep it in, or just tap Save. If you don’t write a note or pick a collection, the post’s own title is shown and it goes under Unsorted.
If you don’t see the arka icon in the share list, tap
···(More) at the bottom of the list and turn arka on.
Copy the address, open arka, and tap the paste icon at the top.
Once saved, the preview thumbnail fills in on its own a moment later.
Long-press a link card and tap Edit note.
Create — Tap the folder button at the top of the home screen to make a new collection.
Add — Long-press the link card you want to move and tap Move to collection.
Moving several at once — Tap the check icon at the top right to switch to selection mode. Pick the link cards you want, then move, share, or delete them together from the menu at the bottom.
To sort out links whose notes share a keyword, narrow things down with search or a collection first, then tap Select all. Only what’s on screen right now gets selected, so you can move just those.
In the collections view, long-press a folder and drag it wherever you want.
No. Only the collection is deleted — the links and notes inside stay. Those links move to Unsorted automatically.
Type a keyword in the search box and arka looks through both the link titles and the notes you wrote.
Settings → View lets you choose how links are shown.
Turn on Show titles too and the link’s own title appears alongside the note you wrote.
Long-press a link card and choose Choose a cover photo. You can set any photo as the cover instead of the thumbnail arka fetched.
If you’ve kept links in a notes app or somewhere else, you can bring them all into arka at once. It also works for a list of links a friend shared with you.

Links won’t be recognized if there’s a symbol in front of them, or if they sit inside a sentence.

You can bring in up to 500 at a time. Links already saved are skipped automatically, so importing the same file again won’t create duplicates.
Settings → Export backup makes a backup file with all your links, notes, collections, and cover photos.
The backup file works on both iPhone and Android, so you can carry everything over when you change devices.
On the new device, tap Import backup and open the file you saved. Links already on that device are not deleted — they stay as they are.
Thumbnails from some services, Instagram among them, can stop showing after a while.
When that happens, go to Settings → Fetch thumbnails again. arka fetches them once more and stores them on your device, so they keep working from then on.
Fetch thumbnails again connects to the internet only when you run it yourself. The app never uses data on its own.
